Graduate Requirements

• International students are required to have a bachelor's (four-year degree) in a related study field from a recognized university, institution, or college
• Applicants are also required to have a GPA of 3.0 in an undergraduate degree to be considered for a master's degree
• A GRE or a GMAT exam score is preferred/required for a few courses

Doctorate Requirements

• International students are required to have both bachelors and master's degrees in a related study field from a recognized university, institution, or college

Is there any scholarship or financial aid available for international students?

The university offers various scholarships and grants to international students. Students can submit the scholarship application along with their university admission application through the admission portal. The scholarships are based on a student's merit, academic excellence, athletic performance, and financial needs. The scholarships offered by the university are as follows:

Academic Scholarships – It is offered to students with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.60. All international students are considered for the Panther Fund Merit Scholarship. A scholarship of USD 10,000 is offered to international students who meet the eligibility requirements.

Athletic Scholarships – It is offered to the students who demonstrate exceptional performance in various sports such as baseball, basketball, lacrosse, soccer, rowing, swimming, etc. Individual sports coaches select students based on their performance. The value of the scholarship varies according to the sport.

Florida Tech Grants – The university provides two family grants, and they are as follows:

• Legacy Grant – If your parents went to Florida Tech, you would receive USD 2,500 as a grant. Students are required to enroll in a full-time undergraduate program. The award is renewable for four years.
• Family Grant – If a student has brothers or sisters enrolled in the university, he/she will receive USD 2,500 as a grant.

When do the admissions start?

International students may apply to the university in either of the three intakes:

There are no deadlines because admissions are on a rolling basis. It means that as soon as admissions for the current intake closes, the application window for the next intake opens. This allows students to apply throughout the year.

FIT Undergraduate Application

Undergraduate students can apply using the Common App Portal viz. www.commonapp.org. Students are required to create an account using their email address, set a password, and follows the simple application instructions.

FIT Graduate Application

Graduate students can apply using the university admission portal. The step-by-step process is as follows:

Step 2: New students are required to create an account. Existing users can log in and apply.

Step 3: Fill in our personal details, such as name, mailing address, contact information, citizenship details, language, gender, etc.

When will I hear from the university after I submit my application?

Students will receive an admissions decision within one to two weeks after submitting their applications. Undergraduates can check their application status on the Common App portal. What are the chances of getting into this university?

The university is not very competitive. Students who meet the eligibility criteria and minimum English language requirements have a high chances of getting into the university.

Can I work while studying here?

Students can work on and off-campus while studying at the university. However, international students are required to present the eligibility proof to work in the country.

Eligibility

• Students cannot displace a U.S. resident

The wages vary according to the job level and hours. It can range from USD 9 to USD 11 per hour. Off-Campus Working

Students can also work off-campus and find job opportunities from job portals, such as LinkedIn and Indeed. The hour limit is the same for off-campus jobs, i.e., 20 hours a week during a study session and full-time during vacations.
